Shrove Tuesday is upon us next week but Liliana made an early request as we raced to collect Amelia from school on Wednesday afternoon...rather than whipping up a batch of crepes, making us later than we already were, a promise was made that our first stop would be the fabulous familiar Crepe and Gauffe stall in the centre quietened her cries...
Once in Reims Centre we discovered that the old ladies that ran the mobile Creperie were obviously not taking too kindly to the very chilly weather and had stayed away!! So in search of a Creperie we went!!
Not to far into the paved walking area opposite the church we discovered a suitably steamy glass windowed cafe that listed Creperie on its board so we all piled indoors and much to our delight discovered a lovely carefully thought out welcoming interior...sort of old fashioned with shots of hot pink to bring it into the French realm of 2012!!
Soaking up the atmosphere we relaxed and defrosted after being chilled in the minus 3 deg temperatures out of doors...seated on hot pink very comfy plush velvet chairs we perused the menu and made our orders...
The Grand Cafe Creme and over the top Chocolate Chaud [Hot Chocolate] with copious quantities of Chantilly cream arrived swiftly followed by the sweet orders for the girls...
Louise's was a great stop for a warm up in a lovely environment...and onwards we go...

Our mission was to find Amelia a dress for the up and coming Valentine Day dance....so off to the Hippy Market secreted away in one of the malls...you have got to love it with rack after rack of fabulous retro fashion and basket after basket of scarves, hats, handbags and belts...what fun!!
Mission accomplished off home as the chilly wind whirled around us...a simple chicken supper and up to bed...it was definitely a duvet night with a good book!!
